2022: Year in Review

Well here we are, once again. Another year down in the Fog Coast history book. Similar to years past, I take my seat in our San Francisco office and put time aside to reflect back on another eventful year. In 2022, our video production company pushed new boundaries in our mission to help our clients win with world class video content. We are so thankful to be where we are today, and we realize that none of this would be possible without the trust of our clients and the support of our incredible team. Here’s a look back at some business and personal milestones from 2022 and the people who helped us achieve them.

We Were Named a Top 1000 Global Company on Clutch

Clutch is the leading global marketplace of B2B service providers. Earlier this month Clutch released its exclusive list of the top 1000 global service providers in 2022 and we were on the list! The list represents only the top 1% of companies on the platform across the world. Clutch analyzes each company on the platform based on their ability to deliver within their service line, which is comprised of four key criteria:

• Number, quality, and recency of verified Clutch reviews
• Selection of clientele and portfolio work
• Robust company profile with competitive specializations and considerable experience
• Strong brand awareness and industry recognition

We Completed Our First Fully International Production

We’ve had our fair share of international clients over the years, but this was our first time doing an on-location production overseas! Back in March, our team embarked on an international project in Amsterdam with our clients at FLYR Labs for a 3 day company retreat. We had a crew of 7 on location. Our job was to shoot and edit a video every day of the event to produce 4 separate videos that opened up the conference each day, and another video for the closing gala. We also had 2 photographers shooting the event and taking headshots for the employees. This was such a fun project with an incredibly talented and hard working crew. We can’t wait to run this one back next year!

Our Animation Work Was Featured in Multiple Festivals

We had the privilege of working with our good friend and director, John Gallen, on his documentary Iron Sharpens Iron. We created all of the animation for the documentary, which details the tribulations and successes of two of the best wheelchair basketball players in the world. The documentary was accepted into multiple film festivals including the DOCNYC, Woodstock, Boston Globe, Portland, Newport, San Diego and Montclair Film Festivals. We were honored to have our animation featured in these prestigious arenas and look forward to working with John on more projects in the future.

Steve Had a Baby Girl!

Many of you that have worked with us know Steve Cook, our Creative Director and Lead Animator. Steve and his wife Becca had a beautiful baby girl named Grace back in February. We are currently in the process of designing our new Fog Coast baby apparel line with Grace’s help ;). Congrats Steve and Becca!

Andrew Got Engaged!

If you’ve done any work with our company, chances are you’ve worked with me (Andrew Klein). My fiance Ariella and I got engaged last December (technically 2021, I know) and we plan on getting married in June 2023 in Carmel Valley! And Yes, Fog Coast will be filming the wedding :)
